Helen Gibbins is an Australian artist living, working and creating on magnificent Wadawurrung country on Victoria’s Surf Coast. She produces unique, whimsical drawings and objects, and is passionate about how the arts invigorates communities. Helen is currently Anglesea Art Space Coordinator for the Surf Coast Shire and is involved in the voluntary community-led organisation Surf Coast Arts Inc.
Since receiving a BA Honours HD in sculpture at RMIT in Melbourne, Helen has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows, worked in not-for-profit galleries, local government, and co-managed the Melbourne International Animation Festival and associated projects for a decade. In 2021 Helen received funding for Surf Coast Arts Inc through the Creative Victoria and Regional Arts Victoria Creative Workers Initiative, to redevelop the Surf Coast Arts Inc website into an Arts Resource Hub for the region.
